Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 1, 2026

This privacy policy applies to the Freed app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Vidus6 (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Information Collection and Use

To provide the core quit-smoking experience, the Application asks you for and stores information that you provide directly, including:

  • Your first name, used only to personalize the experience inside the app
  • Your sex and age, used to personalize your health recovery timeline and milestones
  • Your smoking history — such as how many years you smoked, how many cigarettes or packs you smoked per day, cigarettes per pack, and the price you paid — used to calculate your money saved, cigarettes avoided, and recovery progress
  • Messages you send to the AI Coach, used to generate a relevant response in the moment

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device. Most of this information is stored locally on your device to power your dashboard, streaks, achievements, and recovery timeline. The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

The Application includes an AI Coach feature powered by Google's Gemini models through Firebase AI Logic. When you send a message to the AI Coach, the content of that message is transmitted to Google's AI services to generate a response and is processed in accordance with this privacy policy and Google's applicable terms.

The AI Coach is intended for motivation and general support only. Its responses are generated automatically, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and are not medical, psychological, or professional advice. Do not rely on the AI Coach for medical decisions. Your conversations with the AI Coach are not used to train third-party foundation models beyond what is necessary to return your response. If you have questions about the AI features or data processing, please contact the Service Provider.

Health-Related Information

Freed is a wellness and motivation tool that helps you stop smoking. The smoking history and progress data you enter relate to your health, and the Service Provider treats this information with care. Freed is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Recovery timelines and health scores shown in the Application are general, educational estimates based on public health information — they are not a personalized clinical assessment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about quitting smoking and any related health concerns.

Third Party Access

The Service Provider may share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement, and does not sell your personal information.

Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

The Application uses RevenueCat together with Apple's App Store and Google Play billing to manage optional Premium subscriptions; these services process the purchase information needed to complete and restore your transactions. The Application does not display third-party advertising and does not use advertising networks.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
  • when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
  • with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. Because most of your quit data is stored locally on your device, uninstalling the Application removes that data from your device. If you'd like the Service Provider to delete any User Provided Data that has been transmitted to them, please contact them at contact@vidus6.com and they will respond in a reasonable time.

Your Privacy Rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, Vidus6 acts as the data controller and you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. The legal bases for processing are your consent and the performance of the service you requested. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — the Service Provider does not sell your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact contact@vidus6.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. The Application is intended for adults who wish to stop smoking.

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (contact@vidus6.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-07-01.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
